Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: 13 March 2025  |  Effective: 13 March 2025

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using Monetica's website or enrolling in any of our programmes. By engaging with our services, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to be bound by the terms set out below.

If you have any questions, you are welcome to contact us before proceeding: [email protected]

1. About Monetica

Monetica is a financial education provider operating in Singapore. We offer structured learning programmes designed to support individuals, couples, and families in building informed and considered approaches to managing their personal finances.

Monetica is not a licensed financial adviser, fund manager, or holder of a capital markets services licence under the Securities and Futures Act. Our programmes are educational in nature and do not constitute personalised financial advice, investment recommendations, or the provision of any regulated financial service.

2. Scope of Services

Monetica offers the following educational programmes, subject to availability:

  • Couples Financial Alignment Workshop — A 4-week facilitated programme for couples. SGD 380.
  • Understanding Market Cycles — A 6-week educational programme on market behaviour. SGD 530.
  • Comprehensive Wealth Structuring — A 14-week advisory engagement for complex financial profiles. SGD 1,280.

Programme descriptions, inclusions, and durations are set out in full on our Solutions page. Monetica reserves the right to adjust programme content to reflect evolving educational material, provided the overall scope and objectives are maintained.

3. Enrolment and Eligibility

Enrolment in a Monetica programme is open to individuals aged 18 years or above. By enrolling, you confirm that you meet this age requirement and that the information you provide during registration is accurate and complete.

Enrolment is confirmed upon receipt of full payment (or the agreed deposit where applicable) and a written confirmation from Monetica. Until confirmation is issued, no enrolment obligation exists on either party.

For the Couples Financial Alignment Workshop, both participants must independently agree to these Terms and Conditions prior to the commencement of sessions.

Monetica reserves the right to decline an enrolment request at its discretion, with any amounts paid refunded in full in such cases.

4. Fees and Payment

All fees are denominated in Singapore Dollars (SGD) and are inclusive of any applicable goods and services tax (GST) unless stated otherwise. Current fees are displayed on the Solutions page and may be subject to revision. The fee applicable to your enrolment is that confirmed in writing at the time of enrolment.

Payment is due in full upon enrolment confirmation unless a structured payment arrangement has been agreed in writing with Monetica prior to enrolment. Accepted payment methods will be communicated at the point of enrolment.

Where a payment arrangement is in place, failure to make scheduled payments may result in suspension of programme access until the outstanding balance is settled.

5. Cancellations and Refunds

We understand that circumstances may change. Our cancellation policy is as follows:

  • 14 or more calendar days before the programme commences: Full refund of fees paid, less a SGD 50 administrative processing fee.
  • 7 to 13 calendar days before commencement: 50% refund of fees paid. The remaining 50% is retained to cover preparation and facilitation costs already incurred.
  • Fewer than 7 calendar days before commencement, or after commencement: No refund. Where circumstances are exceptional (such as a documented medical emergency), Monetica will consider deferral to a future intake on a case-by-case basis.

To request a cancellation, please contact us in writing at [email protected]. The cancellation date is the date Monetica receives the written request.

If Monetica is required to cancel or significantly alter a programme for reasons within our control, participants will be offered either a full refund or deferral to a rescheduled intake, at their election.

6. Programme Delivery

Sessions are delivered in person or via video conferencing, as specified at the time of enrolment. Monetica will endeavour to deliver all sessions as scheduled. Where a session must be rescheduled due to facilitator unavailability or unforeseen circumstances, reasonable advance notice will be provided and an alternative date offered.

Participants are expected to attend each scheduled session. Where a participant misses a session, Monetica will make reasonable efforts to provide a summary of content covered. Missed sessions do not entitle the participant to a proportionate refund unless Monetica is unable to provide the session within the programme period.

All digital materials, templates, and reference documents included in a programme will be made available via secure means within a reasonable timeframe of enrolment or the relevant session.

For the Comprehensive Wealth Structuring programme, quarterly review access is available for twelve months from the date of programme completion, subject to reasonable scheduling availability.

7. Participant Conduct

Monetica's programmes involve shared discussion environments. Participants are expected to engage respectfully, maintain confidentiality regarding personal financial information shared by other participants in group contexts, and refrain from conduct that disrupts the learning environment.

Monetica reserves the right to withdraw a participant from a programme without refund if their conduct is materially disruptive, abusive toward facilitators or other participants, or otherwise incompatible with the programme's objectives.

Programme materials are provided for the personal use of enrolled participants only. Redistribution, resale, or commercial use of materials is not permitted without Monetica's written consent.

8. Intellectual Property

All course materials, frameworks, templates, written content, and methodologies provided as part of Monetica's programmes are the intellectual property of Monetica or its licensors. Enrolment grants participants a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use these materials for their own private, non-commercial purposes.

The Monetica name, logo, and design system are proprietary. Participants may not reproduce, publish, or use Monetica branding for any purpose without express written permission.

All content on the Monetica website — including text, design, layout, and graphics — is protected by applicable intellectual property law. Unauthorised reproduction is prohibited.

9. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

Important Notice

Monetica's programmes are educational in nature. Nothing communicated during sessions, in programme materials, or on this website constitutes personalised financial advice, investment recommendations, or a solicitation to buy or sell any financial product. Participants are encouraged to consult a licensed financial adviser before making financial decisions.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable Singapore law, Monetica's aggregate liability to any participant for any loss or damage arising from enrolment or participation in a programme shall not exceed the total fees paid by that participant for the programme in question. Monetica shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or financial losses howsoever arising.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death, personal injury, or fraud resulting from Monetica's negligence.

10. Privacy

Monetica handles personal data in accordance with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA). Our Privacy Policy describes in full how we collect, use, retain, and protect your data. By enrolling in a programme or submitting an enquiry, you consent to the handling of your personal data as described in that policy.

12. Amendments

Monetica may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Changes will be published on this page with a revised effective date. For enrolled participants, material changes to terms governing active programmes will be communicated directly via email. Continued participation following notification constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Enrolments already in progress are governed by the Terms applicable at the time of confirmed enrolment, except where updated Terms are legally required to apply.

13. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore. Any dispute arising in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.

Where a dispute cannot be resolved through direct communication, both parties agree to consider mediation through the Singapore Mediation Centre before initiating formal proceedings.
